Just got my new bar installed. Also found that Putco has updated wiring diagram and wiring so that you can hardwire it to trucks with LED taillights.

they even have a splitter to a 5 pin flat so you can run a bullet crimp to the 5th pin for the turn signal. Some guys have had issues with using the flat 5 pin so they get the 4 pin splitter and wire the turn to the rear tail lights turn signal. Either way the splitter just plugs in under the hitch and you don't have anything sticking out that you can see.

Yeah the place that installed mine puts those wiring harness in also. But they try to charge $60 bucks for them😬. So I didn't get that as my wiring was already done from previous light bar that failed. With wiring diagrams it is much easier now and I like the fact of wiring up in taillight area instead of exposed under truck.

Its really not that bad. The new instructions that I had a link for are very easy. My buddy just did his truck with LED taillights hard wired it all and he was very neat and tidy with it. He had a problem and called Putco and they were very easy to talk to and deal with he said. Mine was warranty work so shop installed mine. But using the harness someone else attached makes it very easy.
The hardest part is adding the bridge wire as there is not a lot of room where you have to add it.

Shop that did mine originally only charged me $40 bucks to install but I think that is low.

Just a quick question....that link from Amazon seems to offer an easy install....but the putco link shows a pretty indepth wiring option. Is the putco bar that much better? I want to be sure before I have the store use the amazon hitch connector and the trailfx led bar. i am researching and don't see why the difference!

I have the red turn signal lights version on my truck. Installed a few weeks ago. It works great but I wish those instructions were around when I did mine, lol. Figured it out using a plug diagram someone else posted in another thread.

Yeah these instructions are so new. My bar didn't come with them either. My buddy got these from Putco when he asked them a question about it.
