not gonna lie. to see your first post is a question about an anti-theft measure is disheartening. that also should answer the question.

with the other fob yes. ford will tow it to the dealer and have the old fobs deleted and replaced also. don't know the cost.

Common sense would say that no you can not start a vehicle without the fob (key).

If it's a 2017/18 w/Sync Connect - yes, you can. Can you drive off w/o the FOB? No. Once remotely started using FordPass, you'll need to push the start button on the dash to energize the dash which also "finishes" the starting protocol allowing you to drive it off. The vehicle needs to recognize a previously paired FOB before it will allow you to drive it.

Sorry if a bit obnoxious but this has been coming.
I don't have the key or fob for my neighbors Ferrari, can i still start it and drive it?
Seriously, I am very suspicious that ford is using threads like this for setting up forum answers for stupid questions. Either that or we are just being trolled....I wish I could see the IP address for these questions...I am about to name them ForTrolls in honor of ForScan.

I'm all for a good conspiracy theory but... really? What would Ford have to gain?

Free Bata testers. Really think about it. Can you do X,Y,Z to get this or that to work. Instead of paying top dollar to engineers, you ask in a public forum and get answers.

Yup with the money they save, they could put low windshield washer fluid warnings on or maybe I want a power up tail gate or bla bla bla (-;

You can start a Harley without a FOB by entering a combination code. I always wondered why automakers never adopted the same concept.

Well if you really own a push button start F150 then the dealer probably gave you two fobs use the other one...

On anther note you will need to goto the dealer or locksmith to get another fob programmed and I would suggest you get a couple more if you are going to lose your keys.

To answer your question. YES anything can be hacked, broken into. Etc...

I am not going to goto into detail but you could probably remote start an F150 without the original fob but you would need to know what you are doing with freqs and electronics. How smart at ya???
