It's for whenever I just want to smile while mashing the gas.

I've tried it. Saw no difference but that it made my engine RPM jump up. I don't see any real need for it with my driving habits.

I'm sure it has some purpose though.

I've used it a few times and have noticed the following things. It increases the regular shift point to a slightly higher RPM. It also prevents up-shifting immediately after opening the throttle. On the highway, for example, I floored it to pass someone and the engine did not shift from 4th up to 5th right away even after I let off the throttle, meaning it would accelerate with less delay if I decided to hit the gas again.

Essentially, it's for exactly what it says: racing or sport-like driving

I would imagine its for off roading, climbing steep hills, gravel, driving in mud, or just if you require more rapid acceleration, and better road handling on curvy / hilly secondary roads. if its jumping the RPMs up a notch.
Have not tried it yet, still only at 400 miles on my truck.

I noticed a huge difference with it after loading the Livernois 91 Perf tune.

I use it when driving to work on streets where I drive between 20 and 35 MPH. Many times I will be going 20 MPH at 1,000 RPM's and the transmission is in 4th gear. It feels like the engine running at too low of an RPM level. Using Sport mode keeps the RPM's a little higher. This is with the 3.5L EcoBoost.

That's weird. When I use mine, I definitely notice the difference. Seems to have better throttle response and shifts a little later (stays in lower gears longer). Definitely an improvement, but not sure what it does to MPG yet.

Is sport mode better on mpg?

I notice a big difference when I'm in sport mode. Much more fun to drive on a safe dry street.
