They aren't worried about you, statistically more drunks are on the road at that time.

Not just drunks, also a higher risk of people falling asleep at the wheel.

As a man who sells insurance. Try all you want to cheapen your insurance but I assure you its only a one year reprieve. Your Auto insurance will never get any cheaper. You might save a few bucks here and there shopping it around but cars just keep getting more and more expensive to fix. Maybe not your car but the car you could potentially hit.

I'm sure averaged across the nation you're right, but my insurance is cheaper now then it was a few years ago when I got married and saw the big premium drop. I also have a lower deductible, business-use plan which is more expensive than your standard auto policy. My wife and I are also driving more expensive, newer vehicles.

I guess I should read the manual as pointed out. F that thing!! I sent it back to them and demanded in writing that they acknowledged the whole issue and that if any damage occurred to the electronics as a result of plugging that stupid thing in that they would be responsible for the repairs. Sure enough. I got an email about 15 minutes later saying all of that. Printed it out and put it with the truck docs. And bonus... because I have a clean record already and can't take part in the program they knocked $49 off my insurance and are honoring that for my renewal.
Progressive. 👍🏻👍🏻

Why on earth would someone plug something into your truck so some company can track you? Its bad enough that Google knows your every move, no need for the insurance co to spy on my to save $20/mo

I hate Snapshot! I used it a few years ago in both my vehicles, a 2011 F-150 and a 2012 Camaro SS. My rates initially went down but they jumped about 20% at renewal time. If you stopped too fast for any reason it dinged you, if you drive late at night it dings you.. etc..etc.. My agent said speed wasn't factored in but I hit triple digits in the Camaro a few times and I think it did make a difference.

I just did this on my 15 from end of December till end March. I saved 16 percent. I'm doing it now on a second car I just bought. I'm currently averaging 18 percent off with that one. I'm not with progressive insurance though. I'm with Safeco insurance. So far so good, I do drive late at night on the weekends because I bartend. I don't believe I got hit for that. I didn't have any issues on my 15 by the way. The insurance rep told me these discounts stay with me as long as I am insured through Safeco. I'll know for sure come October, that's when my new calendar year begins with my automotive insurance.

Just wait, if morons in government, you know, those idiots who raise taxes because they can't figure out how to cut costs, get their way, there will be mileage tags on everyones cars, to tax you for every mile you drive. These insurance things will be nothing compared to those!
