This article also claims the 2.7 is the best selling engine for F150 by 1%.

Huh, around here they can't seem to give the 2.7s away compared to then 5.0 and 3.5 which fly off the lots

Meaningless difference. Fleet sales also impact sales.

Interesting data - Thanks for sharing. For some reason I had in my mind that the 3.5EB and 5.0 sold the most.

It will be even more interesting to watch how these numbers trend over the next couple years.

Wonder what the engine sales numbers are for fleet sales vs the public.

I would assume fleet sales are mostly the non turbo v6 and the 2.7 eco

I was checking inventory around here today, lots of 2.7 trucks in stock at local dealer, 35 or so, maybe 10 3.5s and only 3 5.0s. The 3.5s and 5.0s move a lot faster off the lots than 2.7s.

That explains the difference I forgot about fleet sales. Makes perfect sense for fleet to look at 2.7 given that it's a sweet spot for mpg/capability
