We have 2016 Ford F150 Lariat with Pro Trailer Back Up Assist. We have used it with both our covered trailer, and our camper. We recently recalibrated the camper because we are using a different hitch mount. The assist found the sticker and allowed us to go through the whole process, but now when we try to use it it says "Not available". Local dealer says they can help us next week we are supposed to leave for a trip across country today. Any ideas?

I'm no expert, but have you tried renaming the trailer as if it's a new one? Because of the recalibration?

Yes, we tried deleting the whole thing and re-entering it. It doesn't seem to work for anything now. I'm wondering if it got turned off somehow, but it seems to be "on" in all the obvious places.

Did you turn off the back up alarm as you were connecting your trailer? If so, you need to go into the truck settings and turn it back on and blind spot too.

I'm in my early 50s and have been backing up trailers since before I had my license.
I don't like any 'nannies', be it lane or brake assist, auto cruise control, or help with backing up a trailer. I never pay for that ****, but my truck(like it seems all the rest) came with that friggen **** on the dash. I've never used it and wouldn't even know how. I'll continue to back up my own trailers thankyouverymuch
