Pro trailer assist.

Pro trailer assist.
I finally slapped on one of the stickers, and took some measurements on my 8 foot flat bed trailer to test the pro assist. All I can say was wow, it was super simple to use and backing up the trailer. Love that it keeps the trailer straight while backing up and correcting itself.
Next test is to try it our on the 30 foot camper.

I just set my travel trailer up. Any kind of serious turn and the tounge jack gets between the camera and the target sticker and the system goes in to panic mode. I guess I'll have to keep backing the trailer into camp sites!

Used mine on my travel trailer yesterday and it kept losing the sticker... Crap... First no where to place the sticker on an Atwood hitch, and now the tongue jack errors the system out. Seriously?? Did the "engineers" even try this system on a travel trailer?

We shall never know what the design intent was because that way Ford can change the design intent to meet whatever they need it to be for a specific legal reason.

I hooked it up with my 5x10 enclosed trailer and it is really pretty impressive. I went backwards around my cul-de-sac, right into my driveway, through the double gate and to the back of my house....without stopping.

I find it easier to back a trailer in the conventional way than use the assist mechanism. I was hoping the system would help my wife back her horse trailer, but I really believe you need backing skills to be able to use the system effectively. She’s not that great at backing a trailer, and the system doesn’t help her much.
