Default Pro Trailer Assist for 2016

Super cool feature. Applies to someone like me who is a novice with a trailer and yet uses them quite a bit.
I wouldn't be so frustrated if this came out in 3 years in the midlife refresh, which is when it should've been revealed. But instead they've released in just one year later?
I mean I can't be the only one who's not impressed. My truck went into transit yesterday. I get the whole updates come out and thats how they get ya, and thats the sucky thing about loving trucks and cars and whatever, but one year? Not even? A little disappointing.

I have no problem backing up my trailer so it's not a big miss for me.

It's not surprising that there was a new option a year in-Ford has a track record of introducing a few new items every model year. This does explain why the tbc was located so low on the dash though....

Funny you mention that as I thought the same thing first time I went to adjust brake level, WTF is this so low in the dash.

One thing I noticed in the video was that Sync 3 was in that truck.

I hate when they roll stuff out without all the details. So do you have to put that decal on the trailer so the camera knows what is going on? If so the trailer I pull doesn't have a straight section like that.

Not to change the topic but how can you tell it is Sync 3?

Kinda cool, but only useful if you have your own trailer(s). If you rent a Uhaul or camper, it would be kind of a PITA to set it up with it.

This... though I am waiting patiently on a '16 for Sync 3 specifically. I'm about 90% confident the 16 will get it. They've announced some vehicles already and it seems most that have production starting in June or later will get Sync 3. My guess is most vehicles they haven't announced yet production wise, will also get sync 3. I'm also going to guess if you could get the unit programmed to match your options/truck, a sync 3 unit would work in a '15 but would likely cost 3-4k to purchase through dealer... less obviously once a few hit junk yards.
