I read about people getting them after-the-fact with an exemption. Do you think it’s worth a try to call my salesman ask him to try it? What kind of exemption would they claim if anybody knows? Thanks.
Not a chance. People have posted that after a SHORT PERIOD, Ford granted an exemption. You are 2 months later. Not a chance.

Quite simple. Ford has a database of people that own their vehicles and people that inquire about their vehicles. You did one or the other, or both. When Ford wants to move inventory, they know that current owners or people that expressed an interest in owning are more likely to buy than people that have never considered it. Therefore, they use their database to send mailings or emails to people to stimulate them to purchase, and use Private Cash to do so WHEN IT MAKES SENSE FOR FORD TO OFFER IT.

These offers are often regional in nature, seasonal in nature, and inventory dependent, just like the regular rebates. Ford knows that by offering X people $Y private cash, they increase purchases by Z.

Example - in the Southwest, Ford finds an excess of F-150s as compared to their desired inventory. They send out Private Cash offers, and the Southwest no longer has an excess of F-150s.

Thanks for the info, wishful thinking on my part. This offer is only designated for me personally I’m guessing? If not I’d like to pass it on to someone who could use it.

If you read the offer, you'll see that it's good for anyone in your HOUSEHOLD, which means people living in your home with you. So, if your son or daughter lived in a different city, they could NOT use it (Ford checks the address). If they live with you, they COULD use it.

So no luck via website or mailer. Wasn't there an 800 number to call and ask?

I haven't seen anyone report on a private cash offer in months. Record breaking sales lead me to believe they aren't handing them out.

Talked to Ford customer service for a while. They are handing them out still. But the markets that they are available in are very, very select. They mentioned the F-150 is the #1 selling vehicle in Georgia, so......nothing for me.

On 1/18/2018 I found in my spam email filter an email from Ford Program Headquarters for a $1,000 Bonus Cash Offer, expires on 4/02/2018. Looks like it came thru as part of registering for the First Responder Appreciation Program. In the fine print it states that you may not combine it with other private, conquest or commercial offers, including the $500 First Responder Program. A/Z/D/X-plan eligible. So apparently I can't use my $500 first responder coupon, not sure if my $500 Farm Bureau coupon can be used either.
