Default Presenting my DIY bed divider

Do any of you guys think F150 bed is way too big for grocery shopping or carrying small stuff?

I found that factory plastic bed divider is way too expensive, it cost around $500 CAD, so I decide to make one.

Everything bought from Home depot. Cost roughly $70 CAD.

Thanks for watching. Hopefully someone may get inspired and can make a better version.

We had a guy on here whose work place had an extra 6" x 6" piece of scrap wood laying around after a job. He cut it down to the width of his bed and dropped it behind the rear wheel wells. Cheap and easy

He must have used the wood stretcher for that one.

There is a third dimension to this object... six inches by six inches by several feet, if that really has to be explained

I flip my bed extender around the other way and use it to keep stuff near the tailgate and from sliding to the front of the bed.

lol it was a 6x6...what's so hard about that.

But yeah i've always used something in my previous trucks - normally a 2x8. Haven't gotten around to using anything yet in my new one - I guess I just use the back of the cab for 'stuff'
I do have a ratchet strap running from left to right box cleat for 5-gallon water transportation though.

Takes about 2 minutes to roll the Gator tonneau cover (really happy with that thing by the way - you don't have to put extra pieces in the bed, you just roll it up and strap it near the window) - and then pop off the strap, and throw whatever in there. Then it takes about 2 minutes to roll the tonneau cover back down. I figured all tonneau covers were like that now days, but my neighbor has the old fashioned one. When he had to load up his truck, he had extra pieces everywhere - felt bad for him. Especially since my cover was cheaper.

I think a matching set of home made running 'boards' would look sharp. I would recommend pressure treated or cedar. If you're handy with a router you could inlay a Ford Oval into them.
