I’ve never known of any mass produced vehicle with a straight 12, let alone a V12....not applicable. Today’s V8 isn’t your V8 from the 50’s sorry.

Are we forgetting Ford just developed a brand new 7.3L Big Block V8?

IMO had the previous administration stayed in power I would guess the V8 was probably doomed. Sadly it will be the govt (EPA) that eventually dictates what happens with our engines not mfgs or consumers. Look what they've done to diesels and why glider kits are selling over 10000 units a year. Of course the EPA is trying to change the rules to outlaw glider kits those right now.

Bottom line I think Ford and other mfgs will produce V8's until they simply can't because of regulations......

When do we predict the 5.0 will be discontinued? It’s been murmured about for a little while now. The trend is heading the other direction and it seems the 5.0 may be living out its last days. Brandon Ford, 2nd largest Ford dealer in the world, currently stocks five 5.0’s, out of just under 800 trucks. The current gen 5.0 has seen quite a few issues and I think it’s fair to say it’s reputation has been tarnished to some extent.

So when do we think the 5.0, or V8 F150’s will end for good, if at all? If I had to bet, I’d say it lives out 2020 model year and If the F150 is completely redesigned for 2021, it will not be offered with a V8.

I’m not a 5.0 basher and I am actually looking to scoop a RCSB 5.0 before too long. Just seems like the writing is on the wall.
Maybe the 5.0 is so popular they can't keep them in stock.
