I don't know that you could top the torque of an electric motor. Theres a reason diesel locomotives use electric traction motors!

V8 is going to stay Super Duty all ready proves that with the new push-rod V8 coming on line soon. GM, Ram, Toyota & Nissan have to give up their V8's first or Ford will lose the V8 people to the other MFG's it is simple as that. Maybe a baby brother is in the works??????

If Rams e-torque system pans out one may see a similar system on the 5.0 coyote. Fills in the gap at start then works for braking and when needed on the road. Really is about Hemi with e-torque and Hemi without, others are Ford 3.5 EB and 6.2 GM strapped by GM's high rear gear policy.

Put a electric adder on a Coyote to fill in the gap and that could be a very good combination. Not everyone needs excess HP but more easy to get low end torque.

(wiki lists the bore as 3.63" and stroke as 3.65" which would be 302.19 ci or 4.952 liters (significant figures be damned). I did see somewhere else that listed to an additional decimal place where using those numbers comes out to 301.94 ci which would obviously support what you posted.
Ford's specification page shows it as a 307 cubic inch. you do the math.

yup, those fancy plasma cylinder liners take up less space. bore was 3.63", now it's 3.66". displacement changed from 302.19 to 307.21, both 5.0 liter.

the first 302's had a 4" bore and a 3" stroke for 302 CI. all these changes are simply for emissions .

The first 302 was a push rod over square engine (larger bore than stroke) this gave it a higher revving engine. GM did the same with their 302 using a 4 inch bore, (same as the 327 and 350) and the 283 crank.. (Forgot the stroke size). These engines had very little low end power compared to the modern overhead cam engines.
