Mine is also a Dewalt, you should be able to get it started by just barely pressing the trigger, but you can't go full bore once started as even the regular duty drills are at least 700w.

Both the plug in the front and one in the back state '400W'. Does anyone know if that is 400w to each port? I suspect it's 400w combined. Should be 400w available to each port simultaneously IMO.

Caution: Old thread resurrected.

I am using a 45$ inverter plugged into cig lighter outlet (which is 20 amp fused per Ford), and easily charging my Milwaukee M18 battery with their high output fast charger. As pic shows only pulling 4 amps, engine on, and the inverter cooling fan is not running yet after 10 min. Just a test so far. Have not run it the full 2hrs needed for full M18 battery recharge, let alone do it on a hot day. Ford inverter would not power this charger (3 led blinks:overloaded) as many of us have discovered, in spite of being a mere 60watt load (4.13 amps). A low cost solution to this charging problem?

I don't know which battery and charger you are using but I have a bunch of Milwaukee stuff and no M18 battery I have takes 2 hours to charge.

A low cost solution would have been for Ford to spend an additional $5 per truck for a damn proper sine wave generator.
