Poll: SCREW, SCAB, Reg Cab
I have yet to see another SCAB, none the less many regular cabs driving on the road. Living in Oklahoma, I see hundreds of trucks everyday on my commutes. Fords always catch my eye and they always seem to be SCREW's, even the delerships have very few Scabs on their lots. I know SCREW's hold their value better and are more reasonable for famillies. But, I see a fair share of all configurations here on the forum so it makes me wonder, what percentage of each are here vs the real world?
Post a pic of your 15+ truck if you'd like and your configuration.

^^ OP great looking truck!
I wanted the longer bed, but still room for occasional family use, so the Supercab seemed perfect (and has turned out to be just right for us). I didn't originally consider a full size truck, but I'm glad I got the F-150. Really useful, and crazy good in deep snow. Best to everyone here - great forum.

I'm on my 6th SCab. I don't need to haul around anyone but my wife and I, but I like the additional room in the cab. I like the RCSB, but don't want to give up the room.
The day I left the '12, and picked up the '17.

Don't have kids at home, or grandkids close enough to ferry around, so we didn't need a screw. We wanted some storage space in the temperature controlled, secure cab, so we got a scab. We bought it specifically to pull the trailer in the picture. (We had a 2002 Silverado without a tow package that was too anemic to pull the trailer in mountains.) We ordered the trailer one week before ordering the truck. We picked up the truck one week before picking up the trailer. Timing was perfect. This picture was taken on a scenic pullout on The Natchez Trace Parkway. We took a week and drove it from Natchez, MS to Nashville, TN. (I will let you guess why we chose Ingot Silver.)

I bought the SCAB because it has adequate rear seat space. (There's more rear legroom than a crew cab Tacoma, 33.5in vs 32.6in) The 6.5ft bed is also a bonus since I can sleep in it with the tailgate closed and fit my bicycles without removing the front wheels.

I bought a Scab because Ford refuses to make a Regular cab XLT 302A Sport. Nevertheless, my next one will likely be a special order regular cab, 8' bed. I'll just have to add the features that Ford won't install for me. (I didn't want to wait on an order this time around)

What you see in your area varies by region, including trim lines. Dealers stock what sells to their customers.
Total length of truck, and whether it fits in a garage, decides it for some. We wanted 6.5 foot bed, and therefore SCrew was not an option. If my garage could have fit and SCrew with a 6.5 foot bed, I would have one. Having hauled nearly 9 tons of scrap from a relative's house, I know I reduced the number of trips I made to the scrapyard.
Unless there is a screening factor, users of the forum are going to match society.
