Default Platinum and no heated mirrors?

Every car I've owned for years had heated mirrors I took it for granted my truck would have them. I have the regular not towing mirrors but can't figure out how to clear fog and frost. Am I missing something or does this $65K truck not have heated mirrors?

My truck is an xlt but I'm sure it would be the same. The heated mirrors are on when I turn on my rear window defrost.

There a standard option in the 700a which is the base Platinum Equipment so every Platinum has them in the base package which is the only Equipment package I think.
I think if you change to the power towing mirrors there is no heat.

If you turn on rear defrost then that also heats the mirrors. I had to read the manual because i was confused as well.

I'm sure you have heated mirrors. They are turned on with the rear defrost button. That button turns on rear defrost and heated mirrors.

Edit: me and the poster above must have been typing at the same time...lol. Anyway I didn't mean to post a duplicate answer but you get the point now I think...

The powered towing mirrors on my 2017 Lariat have heating controlled by rear window defrost switch.

I've always been curious as to why these trucks don't have mirror defrost at startup. I had, I believe it was a 1996 Ford Contour that would turn on mirror defrost and keep it on for 10-15 minutes first thing after starting the car if the outside temp was below a certain level. Ford did it 20 years ago, why not now? Then we wouldn't have to think about it.
