Also, the "fake" engine sound is very cool - I was worried about this sounding too fake, but it sounds very very good especially when you get on it.....I will try capture this on video during my commute in to work.

Should be fun trying to park this beast in a parking garage downtown...

Dude she is a beauty!!! You are brilliant to plan the backup plan and glad it worked out for you.

Love the white plat. for I always order white and pearl it they have it. I also went back and forth on the 4x4 and FX4. I knew I would not off road and was afraid the FX4 might make the ride a little stiffer. Is she as quite as promised and how is the 4x4 ride??

Question-What engine sound are you talking about, this is the second time I seen that in these post but thought they were kidding??? I had a 13 EB King is there a change somewhere I'm not aware of??

Thanks!

I thought it was a joke at first too...if you search around you will find some more info about it, but basically Ford my the cabin so quiet (which it really is extremely quiet, my wife drives a 450H and its not far off from it) that they decided to generate a low, v8 "rumble" when you get on the gas. I thought it would sound awful and wanted to know how to turn it off (not sure yet if you can, I think you have to pull a fuse) but after hearing it, it sounds perfect. It blends very well, and you would have no idea that it was a "fake" engine sound even though somebody told you.

My wife was in the car, and I told her about it and she still doesnt believe me! She said there's no way that is coming through the speakers...

I wonder if Ford has adjusted the tension on the wiring in the door. I know a few people have posted about problems with the wiring shorting out certain electrical switches in their door and others that have said it sounded like their speakers were blown. The second one would be of interest when it concerns the "V8 rumble" coming through the speakers. If the wires short out or corrode from moisture, how much will the sound change. I'm not saying it will happen, just more curious if Ford extended the length of wiring used and sealed the connectors better.

EDIT**I'm not asking you to remove the door panel on that beautiful truck. Lmao. Was just wondering.

Thanks, I did do a search and read about it. Glad you think is sounds cool. Will wait to hear in mine. I'm sure if I don't want it by then they will have a simple way to turn it off. Will leave it though if it sounds cool and seems like it must sound good, for the ones that have heard it like it.

I also use to have a Lexus 450h (2011 I think). Great car and great MPGs, I have had 4 hybrids in my days, I think they are cool and love the technology!

enjoy your truck and tune out the ya ya ers

Actually Mike Levine already has a new chrome trim piece being shipped to me, and I think they may have to remove the door panel to replace the all black one, if they do I'll be sure to grab a pic of the inside!

Dan,

What are your thoughts on the productivity screen, likes vs dislikes?

Any features we don't know about?

I played with it some tonight, got everything set up the way I wanted, and I like it so far! Every electronic in the car could be a LITTLE better. There is a VERY SLIGHT delay with everything (I'm pretty big into electronics, and in the year 2014, having any delay in unacceptable in my eyes). This wont bother 99% of you, but it's just something I noticed.

The resolution, and layout behind the productivity screen is good, they def put a lot of thought into it, and you can customize quite a few detailed aspects of the car (like remote start, you can pick 5,10, or 15....where you want the climate control to be, auto or where you left it, etc...things like that).
