What all materials did you use for this? I am considering dipping my chrome bumpers but I have never worked with plastidip before.

Can't speak for the OP, but I did not remove the grille. I used 3M blue painters tape and taped trash bags to the painted body panels surrounding the grille. I stuffed a few trash bags on the inside of the grille to make sure the interior components were covered up. I used 2 cans of plastidip. I sprayed over the Ford emblem. Once completed i peeled off the emblem dip rather easily. In total it took maybe 15 minutes to prep and another 1.5 hours of spraying a coat and watching TV waiting 15 minutes spraying another coat etc. until I was satisfied with the overall coverage

How are the bumpers holding up? I am thinking of removing most of the chrome on my XLT either through replacement parts or plastidip. I was thinking of dipping the bumpers, installing a Raptor Style Grille, and replacing mirror caps and handles.

Not sure if you'll get a reply from the OP since this is a bit of a zombie thread resurrection.

I dipped the chrome wheels on my 2001 Lariat over 3 years ago and it never chipped/wore off. My son has that truck and the wheels still look good. This year, I did the wheels on my G37S coupe in a color called Brass Monkey. Turned out great.

Proper prep and application is the key to a good look and longevity. DipYourCar has some excellent YouTube videos on the subject -

That actually looks really clean with the chrome outside and the black center, almost like it could of been done from the factory. Doesn't look unfinished like the whole thing black.
