Alright, the stock factory photo didn't really look mean.
So I took a stuffed f-150 and stretched it to around what a 7.5 - 8' box would be.
I like it even better.

That just looks crazy. I can't imagine why they would offer this. I think that most people who really want the 8' bed either look to take the smaller cab to save some money and keep it as an F-150 work truck or look to upgrade to the F250 to get it all.

Not for me. I having a hard enough time adjusting to my new 6.5 ft. bed over the 5.5 ft. on the 2015 I traded in. I previously owned a 1999 F350 super crew with an 8 foot bed and I had to really watch where I parked and make wide turns to avoid the curbs.

I had a 99 Screw Dually with 8' bed and loved it. Never had an issue parking it though, the width was a problem at times.
Then again, I did drive a semi for years, so was quite used to it.
Ford will never have one like this for 2 reasons.
First, they have the super duty trucks for this kind of truck.
Second, for the truck to be useful it would need to have a much higher payload, which increases its GVWR, thereby putting it out of the 1/2 ton range.

i'd order one. My 6.5 truck is definitely not the same tight turning rig like my old Expedition.

I imagine it would need a heavy duty frame like they do on a stretched vehicle.
The payload would be ok..... if your hauling Styrofoam lol.
