PICTURES of Yakima Roof Rack!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I recently made a post asking for pictures of people's roof racks, only to find there's either A. not many with racks on here, or B. a general lack of interest in showing off your rack. Therefore, I decided to make this thread. Today I Installed a Yakima roof rack with the Aerobars and 52" fairing. Overall, very pleased with the detailed instructions and ease of assembly/installation. The rack is very sturdy and shakes the whole truck when I shake the rack as If it's welded on. It's rated to haul 165lbs. Pictures below!!

Looks good! Yakima, Thule, Rhino, etc is all overpriced but you do get what you pay for. I myself like both Thule and Yakima and have both cause I like Coke and Pepsi Unless I run out of space in my bed, your setup will be my next option, thanks for the follow up pics. BTW I thought the max load was 150# but at 165, that's not too shabby.
p.s. I can still see your plates :P

Yes! The longest part is actually getting the rails all measured out and placed on the towers (which is the part that mounts to the truck) to take them off the truck you just pop the end cap off each tower and loosen two screws and they come right off! Takes probably less than 5 minutes! The only down side is that unless you mark the roof somehow you would have to re measure when you put them back on if you want them perfect per yakima standards.
