Default Pick it up tomorrow - anything I should look out for?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share that I was picking up a new 16 black Lariat tomorrow with moonroof, 502, power boards and tech package.

Anything I should look out for at the dealer while I'm there?

Just traded in my 05 f150 so it's a step up and I'm pumped, just not looking forward to having payments again. Lol.

Forums been a great learning center...

Pour water on the roof and see if it leaks and door alignment are the major two that are reported on this site. Everything else is hit and miss enough. Those two are difficult to get fixed after delivery.

Don't park anywhere near water sprinklers on a sunny day, don't ask me how I know, took a week of elbow grease to get it clean again.

If you finance with ford for the extra $500 rebate you can refi immediately[ if you find a better rate] and pay off ford with no penalty. Some dealers will tell you that you have to make 3 payments or pay a penalty which is total bs. I think they get some kind of kick back or something. Call ford credit and verify it. I bought mine and paid it off 2 weeks later. No penalty.
Sounds like your getting a great truck, congrats.

No reason to call Ford Credit. Refinance immediately.

Geez quite a list.

Thanks very much for the feedback guys. Little overwhelming but hoping it all checks out.

Good to know about being able to refinance right away as well.

I came from an 05 XLT and all I can say is WOW You are gonna love this truck. It will take you a while to get a handle on all the bells and whistles but you will be impressed. They have come a long way since 05. Oh and BTW I had nothing on that list when I picked her up

What engine did you get?

Congratulations! Just enjoy the new truck. This is a great forum and you will learn a lot, but, take the doom and gloom with a grain of salt.
