Perpendicular Parking, Sending directions to your 2018 F-150 and one more thing
Everyone,
I have done a some searching and have not found an answer to these questions. I just got my new 2018 F-150 King Ranch and bought all the technology options as wells as Enhanced Active Park Assist, Technology package and Adaptive Cruise control.
Two questions, first is Perpendicular parking. I believe that the new 2018 F-150 have Perpendicular Park assist. However when i press Park Assist one i get Parallel and when i press twice it goes off. I can't find Perpendicular Park Assist. How do i find it?
Next is can i send an address to my SYNC 3 Navigation? IF so how?
Finally can you get the side mirrors to fold when i push lock on my remote?
Thanks and I am hoping not to have to get to Forscan to do these.

I can answer one of the questions and YES it requires forscan for the mirrors to be able to fold!!! Do not let forscan scare you as you can do some neat stuff with it to the truck!

I do not know about sending an address to your SYNC, but I am almost positive the F-150 does not have the Enhanced Active Park Assist, they only have the standard Active Park Assist, so no perpendicular park on the F-150's yet. Although I do seem to recall there was a thread on here by someone who said they were able to add that ability through forscan, but I may be wrong on that.
Also, the mirror thing you would need to change in forscan to the "Lincoln style" to have them fold when you lock the doors, then unfold when you open and close the door.(I believe thats how Lincoln style works)

Active Park Assist is the only option on the build as far as I can see. My 2018 Limited does not have the enhanced version. This is not something that was advertised in the many reviews I read and watched, I have only seen this in the new Navigator.
I have not been able to send an address to Sync 3, verbal commands work well. The apple CarPlay takes the address from your contacts and it appears on the screen.
Don't know about the mirrors folding when you lock your vehicle, great option and should be available if not standard on the high trim models.

I have Active Park Assit on my 2016 Limited. This allows me to press the button once and parallel park.
I just used FORscan to add Perpendicular Park Assist. You push the Park Assist button once for parallel, and press again for Perpendicular. Press a third time to turn it off.
I just tested it and it backed the truck into a tight spot between two cars very well. It sure was sketchy though just handing over the controls to the truck! wow!
