Default Front grille paint peeling off

I've got a big surprise when I was washing my xlt sport 2016, the front grill paint just peel off on some spot 😕, its like if the paint won't stick to the plastic grille.. I took it brand new from the dealer and driving it home to througly wash it (2 km run) I contact the dealer to replace it, so he told me he have to send picture of it to ford before replacing it ...cant wait to get my truck fixed, look like crap now 😥

looks like somebody painted over the whole grill, since the ford emblem is traditionally blue/white vs all black

That looks like more of a scratch than peeling paint.
Also, I hope that's only plasti-dip on your emblem

Yup. Looks like plasti-dip. Definitely not stock.

I know its look like a scratch or a rock dent, but the paint pell off under my washing glove and if I gently scratch it with my finger nail the spot get bigger.

And yes i dip my embleme after washing the truck

The grille supposed to be black cause it s sport one

Seen a few sport grilles doing this on here. I'm sure they will just replace it. They come painted like that, new. Probably an adhesion problem at the factory

Update:

So my dealer came and took some picture to send it to Ford Canada for warrantie claim. So ford accepted it, now the grille is on it way but it came primed only, so the dealer have to paint it before installing it on the truck! Just hoping for a great job from the dealer body shop to make a long lasting paint on it!

Really? That's bs. Why is it not prepainted? So if you own a sport, theres no way to get OEM replacement parts that are pre-painted?

Are you going to ask for body colour match or just let them paint it back to the magnetic colour?

Yep they all come with primer only, dealer have to paint the center magnetic or mate black then the outline to match body color
