Default Peeling chrome 20” wheel HELP!

Just left Tasca Ford Seekonk ma , my 2016 F150 20” chrome wheels are peeling on edge of wheels next to tire bead. I presently have 56K miles on truck. I was at Tasca Ford last August and had a tire dismounted and repaired as well as purchasing 2 New tires . At that time I had 41K miles on truck .
I explained my situation and dealership person told me “Nothing they could do” call Ford customer care and provided #.
person on phone said they are covered under 36K,36 month warranty, they are classified as PAINT ?.....

Has anyone had luck opening a case with Ford ? What should I Do ? Other then NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN !,,
window sticker of 51K and I’m supposed to just accept poor quality over and over again ????

Here's a thread on this issue https://www.f150forum.com/f118/my-ch...wheels-442938/

Here'a another. You may find some ideas there that could help. Obviously being over the 36k mark is killing you here. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/oem-p...eeling-342617/

Yea... As Rey said... The wheels are ONLY covered under the 36k miles.

I think some people got the wheels replaced with the Ford Official Extended Plus Warranty.

and - the chrome process in PVD Wheels is a paint process.

You can try to argue with Ford Customer Services, but I don't think it will go anywhere... Ford has a LOT of these wheels out there, and the majority of them will flake - - Ford will want to avoid replacing as many of them as it can.

I received a call today from Tasca ford. I was told FORD was willing to cover $1300 of wheel repairs.BADNEWS the total bill for wheels was $4200!!!!!!!! They would cover 30% of repairs
it was insulting to say the least , I will be appealing and want a FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE to view wheels and dicuss matter
if they just gave me $1300 i can buy 4 new ones for $257 each online
FIRST AND LAST FORD !

Perhaps, you could consider buying 4 wheels from these guys, and accepting Fords Offer to cover $1300... On this site, the wheels are 259.25 each... for a total of $1,037 for the wheels. then add the cost of mounting.

$4200 for four wheels is outrageous. I see you live in MA like me. Do you have winter tires? Maybe just take the loss, grab for new wheels and use the flaking ones for strictly the winter?

This company does not have good reviews. Just saying, was looking myself for new wheels. My 17s are peeling as well. And I don't use them in the winter.
