Parking garage clearance concerns
Hi guys,
Pretty new to my new F150 and I was reminded of something today when going to a parking garage at the local shopping area (there is really no surface parking available 99% of the time). The garage was marked as 7' height, but my antenna nipped concrete beams a couple of times. My concern honestly isn't my truck in its current configuration, but I plan to go up a little bit in tire size (33's probably) and 2" level up front. Will doing those things prevent me from parking in these garages? If so, that's going to be a real problem, as I live in a major city. I think 7' is the standard for most.
Anyone know the clearance on a 15+ 4x4 (FX4) with 2" level and 33's?

Well, the point is I don't have the mods (tires, level kit) done to the truck, and if said mods will prevent me from parking in a garage, I probably cannot do them..... cannot wait until it's done to find that out.

I see now, you are asking about an altered truck and not a factory truck. My apologies.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I never measured my truck. I just "eyeball" it. I remember a few months back going to an appointment and I went into a parking garage that was 6'8 with little speed bumps. Made it out ok, but pretty darn close.
Maybe trimming down the stock antenna to about 3-5" from the highest point on your roof could give you a reference of whether you're getting to close or not. I have a stubby antenna though. But it's an idea.

Keep in mind that when parking garages say 7', or whatever, that doesn't always mean it's 7' everywhere. When you hit the incline to go up the ramps the ceiling gets a lot closer.
