And keep in mind, it depends on how the parking garage is built. If one of those low spots is where the garage goes up, you may still hit.

Did this once in my '16. The antenna hit EVERY SINGLE BEAM going up and back down. Had to park on the 4th floor. It was on too tight to undo with my bare hands, and I didn't have any tools with me.

I put a rubber bumper on the tip of the antenna and just let it whip. Lowest clearance I went was 6'6" with an inch to space. I also have this handy to check when it gets dicey...

Guys today was first day at new job. Looks like I have 4 or 5 inchs in a 6'8 parking garage. New antena on. Came with a small rubber washer and all kinds of fittings. I didnt use rubber washer. It looked weird. Not sure f150 needa a washer. Radio reception is just as good. I always use xm anyways.

I use my antenna like a cat uses their whiskers.

First time I drove into a parking garage I didn't think about it being close until I heard the scrape of the antenna. Freaked me out but caused me to slow way down going the rest of the way in and back out when I left. Now I know the truck will fit but I try to avoid garages as much as possible.

To be honest once you know your clearance the game becomes just making sure nothing is hanging that you could hit.

when I had the 6'5" bed the reason I avoided them was turn radius...literally had to 3 point turn on each ramp up or down a level to make the corners. It was an old garage so that probabaly didn't help when they built it, but wanna talk about angry people behind you?

I have an FX4 with a leveling kit so the antenna is my early warning system!! I have had to back out of a couple garage entrances so I just try to avoid them now. If I put bigger tires on once the stockers wear out I'll probably never see the inside of a garage again.

My boss actually just creased the roof of his tundra in a garage. He has a stubby antenna.
