Panoramic Roof Nightmare Saga

Hello Guys...
Want to make this right... so the symptom with the sunroof is when you try to open it and it lowers first it will crack and stop right? And then it might open but make a loud crack on the way, when closing it will be very difficult to close too...
Is this right? And will the tracks fix this problem? any DIY?
Thanks a bunch!
JC

There are numerous issues. On mine, when tilting the front pano roof glass panel up, a rear corner of the glass stuck, which caused the plastic in my glass panel lift arms to brake, which resulted in the driver rear corner of the front glass panel sticking up off the roof, and passenger rear corner stuck down. But from my Ford shop I probably have more plastic components in the system (in the region of the rear pano glass panel) broken, so need to take it apart again with Ford parts on hand, and replace whatever is broken.
Sounds like some are having issues with the pano roofs leaking too. I have not experienced this.

I actually made that grill myself. Sanded down, epoxy'd plastic inserts into place then added many layers of bondo. Cutout grill opening, sanded and shaped into what I wanted, then laid fiberglass overtop, more sanding, primed painted and clearcoated. Turned out really nice in the end.
Also made the headlights out of DE frames and BMW light assemblies. Outters were projector lowbeams and inners were mirror-finish highbeams.

The pano roof and adaptive cruise are the two things my lariat doesn't have and I regretted not getting one with the pano roof. After reading this... holy crap am I glad it doesn't have the pano roof. I am sure there are plenty of folks who haven't had a problem but it doesn't seem worth the risk for something that would never get used.. I live in New England and we get 2 nice weather days a year.

Most are easy fixes like clogged drains, disconnected hoses (which I had, 10 minute fix...). But if years down the road I end up with something so bad that it needs replacing completely, I'll just save myself the thousands by disconnecting the switch and permanently sealing up the gaps. Turn it into a nice skylight
