I'm contacting Filthy Motorsports next because Ryan has dropped off of the map. No response to recent PMs.

Initially, I was looking to get the height from preloading the springs with the Bils set at 2.1", but it's becoming clearer to me that what I want is to install the Bilsteins at 0.0" of height adjustment and add a longer spring with a slightly increased spring rate.

He may be on vacation/etc.

Once you get it figured out, I'd greatly appreciate you posting a follow-up. I'm in the same boat... I've got Fab Fours bumpers front and rear. Rear isn't a problem, but in the front, it would probably be better for the suspension to beef up the springs a bit.

OK, I called FM, but they're busy and are behind a few days on responding to emails, according to their outgoing voice message. So I reached out to Eibach, and the spring they have is E30-35-037-01-20. The spring rate is 10-20% higher than stock. The length would provide between 2.25-2.5" of lift over stock with the Bils at the lowest setting, with the added weight. While I don't mind going over 2", that remains my target because I want to keep suspension geometry and CV angles reasonable.

AutoAnything.com has those springs at $145 for the pair. They claim a 2.7" lift on the website, which jives with the lift Eibach quoted, given the extra weight on my truck.

Option noted, and I'll keep looking. Maybe I'll hear back from FM.

Filthy Motorsports had been really responsive. They have a question for me, but I don't know the answer:

"Do those (struts) accept standard 2.5 ID coilover springs?"

I think the OEM spring seats would be the limitation here, Any input would be great.

They do not unless you made some sort of an adapter. The top and bottom require a spring the OE shape. 2.5" ID springs are the complete opposite.

The Eibach springs mentioned above are your best best, IMO.

I'd have to imagine the claimed 2.7" will be less on your truck given your increased front weight and the placement of it.

Got it, thanks Ryan. I appreciate it. I just wish there were an Eibach solution with a slightly lower lift. I'd scoop a pair up...

I believe it. The guy I spoke to at Eibach figured somewhere between 2.25" - 2.5", which is probably a really close guess seeing as my front height dropped about 0.4" after installing the FF bumper. 2.7" - 0.4" - 2.3" resultant lift from Eibachs... right in his estimated range. Now, since my 2" spacer gave me an effective 1.625" lift over stock, I might get as much as (2.3" - 1.625" = ) 5/8" of an inch additional lift up front.

I probably wouldn't notice 0.3" difference... but over another half an inch might bother me. If that's how it turns out, the next tires I get will need to be 35x12.5-18s to fill the extra gap.

I have Eibach springs in my AutoAnything shopping cart. If I don't come up with another option with closer to a 2" effective lift soon, I will probably pull the trigger.

I was only thinking that with the heavier bumper that adding support would be easier than changing springs , take the thought with a grain of salt and do as you will
