P0442 at my wits end
Thanks for your invaluable advice I'll check to see if that helps. The shop who did the ftp sensor is the same one who did my cam phasers and I feel like they're pretty good.
Hi I just had this code come up and was wondering if you have fixed the problem and what it was?
It ended up being the charcoal canister twice. The original code changed after the charcoal canister was replaced but the new code was because the replacement canister was not the correct one for my truck despite being what came up for my VIN at both Advance Auto and the dealership so that was fun. It even connected everywhere fine but I guess the internal flow was different and it leaked like crazy on a smoke check

What was the part number for your charcoal canister?
I have the 36 gal tank. My original 01-08-18 produced charcoal canister is labeled JL34-9E857 -- I tried replacing it with an FL34-9E857-AE 10-16-24 -- threw codes. Put the original back on, still have the "very small leak" codes. From what I can find I think my truck takes a very expensive OEM either NL3Z9D653G (current rev) or NL3Z-9D653-B or KL3Z9D653C. I have spoke to a few dealers who are unable to say confidently which one it is. Incredible stuff.
