Good color choice over the long haul ? Does it tend to hide scratches well.

Thanks guys for any opinions or personal Experience you have to share.
My last and current F150s (97 and 09) were/are both Oxford white and have always been 'outside' trucks in the hot Texas Sun. Never had any paint issues with the 97 and the 09 still looks great. About three years ago we had a hailstorm so bad that the metal roof of our home had to be replaced and holes were punched in the siding. My 09 F150 was out in the driveway and there was not the slightest ding in the metal or mark on the paint.

I've found mine needs to be clay barred about every six months. I get those brown spots in the paint that you can't wash off.

My truck is a year old, had it barred right after purchase and it's looking like I'm due again

I always buy white vehicles. Nothing racist, they just seem to last longer The paint never fades.

There is a reason most fleet use vehicles are Oxford White.

My first f150 was oxford white, it was a 99 ext cab. Owned it from 2003-2009. washed on a semi regular basis with maybe 1-2 waxes a year. Still got compliments till the day I sold it. Hides scratches very well, and looks amazing when waxed. Accompanied with chrome or monotone, both look awesome. Only thing about white is when it starts to rust. Depending on where you live, that might not be an issue.

my favorite is silver but I went with White this time as they are even easier than silver to keep clean and also hide rock chips just as well.

I just hand washed it a couple weeks ago and won't wash and wax it again until the water stops beading up, probably a couple months.

I think you should start your own thread on this, rather than hijack this one. That would keep the responses from getting crossed.

Cheers.

My Company only buys white vehicles, as they don't show the scratches as easy as other colors. One of the trucks is a 2009 F 350.. Stills looks good after over 7 years. It may get waxed once a year.

After owning Tuxedo Black (never again), Red & dark silver, I decided on Oxford White for my new F150. I couldn't have made a better choice. I can't it's really dirty until I start to wash it.....once you make a clean spot, you gotta do the whole thing. But white or light silver are the only colors I'll ever own from now on.
