Overhead Console Sunglasses Holder
Has anyone else had an issue with the glasses moving forward or the holder and getting stuck in the overhead console? This has happened to me twice now and it was difficult fishing the glasses out of the console.

No, not in the three years I've owned it and used it probably 200 times.

Yes, I scratched the frame on my expensive sunglasses by putting the sunglasses in the holder backwards. In my 14 it was not an issue the holder was much larger than in my 17. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what was causing me to have to push really hard to get the holder to close and open. Then one day I took the time to look a little closer. Ford should have something in the manual about making sure you put sunglasses in the holder the right way or damage may occur. Or they could just make a larger holder like on the older models. It's the little things isn't it? I was going to post something on here about it, but I figured I would get flamed for the stupidity of not operating the sunglasses holder properly.

I've experienced it a couple of times. Just have to fold the glasses fully and close the door slowly so they stay in place.

Sounds like you're not putting them in there correctly.

Thanks for the responses. What is the correct way?

I haven't had that issue, but I've discovered that I don't want to store my sunglasses there during the summer unless I want to burn myself when i put them on. The metal frames get hotter that crap.

Hard to describe, really. When I put mine in the holder, they are top side down and the ear pieces are folded and closest to the end where the button is. I guess I'll have to take a picture of how I store mine. I have a pair of bulky Costa's and never have issues.

I keep 3 pairs of spare RX glasses in there(at the same time) with no issues, other than that they tend to flop out when I open the thing.
