Overcharging alternator help.

Well that's only one issue - if you had forscan and could read the computer - you could check the other things.
If the sensors on the battery cable went out - then you'd also get a fault but there is a code for that. Sadly it's a touch more complicated. So if the AC check comes up good - then I'd be looking for a code scanner like Forscan or others that will read the rest of the car modules. Many basic scanners stop at powertrain - or engine codes only. YOu need something that will read the rest of the CAN BUSS.
And then you could see exactly why the light is on and which sub system if faulty. But check out the battery thing - it's easy enough

Well I tried the voltmeter but it jumped around like crazy so i think something is screwy with the voltmeter, of course, but I did find my dongle for the forscan and it spit out p0625 generator field terminal circuit low. Im going to take it to work tomorrow and try and remove the plug to check it for corrosion, the main wire looks good, pain to get to the plug.

You might want to have a look at this. The Battery Management System (BMS) controls the charging cycle. If the sensor is not working or has been unplugged, the system will probably default to the full charge value of 15V and stay there.

Thanks merc. Tested the plugs and the voltage is correct. Pulled up forscan and its rating apps so I think it's working correctly. I pulled up the forscan into and this is what I got out of it after testing the connections.
