Default Outlets turn off when not running.

I use my truck as my office so I have a laptop and printer I use everyday in there. In my 2015 f150 I have to have the vehicle running to power my printer on or charge my laptop, phones, etc. Is there any way to keep the inverter on while the vehicle is off?

i am not sure where the actual Inverter is located, i stumbled upon your post searching for a fix for my loose AC power plug that wont hold a cell phone charger in it to save its life lol. However if you were to find the Source of the power to the inverter you could place a secondary switched 12V power wire preferablly through a relay from the battery going to the 12V input to the inverter and then when the vehicle is off you can then flip the switch and the inverter would power on.

In my Lariat crew, I saw a black plastic box under the RR seat that said inverter. Lift up the seat.

The next thread after you figure out how to keep them on when the truck is off will be:

Why am I stranded because my battery is dead!

No. The inverter draws a substantial amount of power and would reduced your battery to nothing in a very short amount of time.

That's where it's at for all models that have that feature, as well as many previous model years.

On my Platinum CC, it's under the right rear outboard passenger seat, right where the subwoofer was on my 2013 King Ranch.
