Our Aluminum Beds are not sealed...And there's more...
My 97 F150 had drain holes and a non sealed bed, my 05 f150 has drain holes and a non sealed bed, my 2015 has a non sealed bed. I also had a 2012 Sierra 2500hd, it has drain holes and a non sealed bed. I'm not sure if this is something new, but it seems normal.
You sir are a true hill billy. Why do I have to have the same reason to buy anything (including a truck) as you? You're a red neck with a different thought of mind than me!

The "aluminum alarmist" subject line was unecessary, this has nothing to do with the bed being made from aluminum. Pickup truck beds have never been advertised as water/dust proof. Maybe the ridge line or the discontinued avalanche, but never the ram/F-series/Silverado/Sierra. They all have gaps that allow water to drain from the bed for obvious reasons. This also applies to factory installed spray liners, nowhere does it say that it makes the bet water/dust proof.
Wishing they were does to put any onus on the manufacturer to make it so.
