Btw, for those of you contemplating getting a spray in liner then gasketing the tailgate, the bedrug liner extends in one piece into the tailgate section, effectively sealing the bottom tailgate. So you only have to gasket the sides, and those are easy to do.

Plus a bedrug is so much better on my knees when I have to crawl around in the bed.

Sheesh, a bedrug? Would a guy that has a "real" truck need a bedrug for those manly-tough knees?

Hell, I'm getting one! Jajaja!

I don't use my truck bed as a swimming pool, so I don't care.

Also, if it was sealed, I bet there would be people bitching about water not draining from their bed. Can't please all the peasants.

For those looking to seal the gaps before Line-X:

I have not done my truck but plan to. Local Line-X shop has done so on previous installations. Not a completely uncommon request.

I didn't know either until I got my truck back last week from getting a spray in bed liner. Caught me off guard. I thought they messed the truck up somehow. haha

Can someone take a picture, pointing to where the leaks are on the sides (or wherever its located) The big gap, is what I'm talking about.

Is it the one with the Red Sharpie Pen pointing towards it?

If you have ever had a truck with a plastic dropin bedliner, you realize just how much damage comes from dust and dirt finding its way underneath and effectively becoming sandpaper. The 10 ft section of taper seal was plenty to do the bottom of the tailgate, under the bedrug.

I sometimes like to go with belt and suspenders.

is there cause for concern with the new fords if there is indeed damage from dust and dirt under the drop-in bedliner? Is there even as much need for a bedliner? Wasnt the concern with old trucks that if you damage the finish, they would rust, eventually rusting through? Not a concern with an aluminum bed though?

Im sure I am missing something..
