I have literally never encountered a truck with a sealed bed. I think most of the people concerned about dust and water getting into their bed have either:

1. Never owned a truck before
2. Haven't bothered to get the bed sprayed
3. Don't realize that there are VERY few tonneau covers that are completely water and dust tight
4. Don't realize that there are cargo boxes, toolboxes and other systems available to install into your bed to help better seal your belongings

Are you suggesting Ford invests money and time into sealing something that's wide open from the factory? Lol...Sounds kinda ridiculous from that perspective doesn't it?
Exact opposite for me "I have literally never owned a truck without a sealed bed."

I have owned many pickup truck,, this is the first one where you can see your driveway through the joints while standing in it.. First one that with a cap on gets full of dust..

Not everyone uses their truck for the same purpose as you. I use mine for many different jobs..

I use mine for many different jobs as well, but I don't have any dust or water issues unless it's a heavy rainfall or car wash. The Line-X coated over gaps. My Silverado is the same way, plenty of gaps everywhere.

On count one, you are correct. This is my first Full size truck.
2. Wrong, my bed is sprayed and still leaks like a sive
3. Even if they only leak a little, something can be engineered to make it almost perfect.
4. I realize boxes can seal things...lol

I am suggesting the FORD listen to their customers about many things. Do you think that if they don't they will still be in business??

Try opening a business and NOT make what people want...= Failure...

If they want to be the best selling Truck in the US, they need to listen to their customers. Of course, if it's only a few Folks which might be the case here, i wouldn't expect them to issue a TSB, but even if they did only the people complaining about it would get the fix...And, that would cost very much...

My Ford factory spray liner left lots of drainage gaps..

I do not remember the reason why I took the liner out, but when I did remove it I was shocked at the abrasion damage from the dust and silt that somehow got under the liner. The liner vibrated the dirt under it and it became like sandpaper. The paint was completely gone in many areas. I rattle caned the bed, gave the liner away, and chalked up one more lesson learned.

YMMV, but if you have a bed liner in your truck, take it out to look under it. You may be unpleasantly surprised.
I noticed the same thing
I have always gone on vacation and put all my gear in garbage bags
I never thought about sealed or non sealed bed
I have a drop in liner $140 penda liner
I will let the next owner worry about it
These trucks are so good this is all we can bitch about LMFAO

Providing you can afford one, Bedrug bedliners would be an easy solution to the problem.

My 2006 Tacoma had a 1-piece composite bed. No seams like on the F150, and I had a hard folding cover before a soft canvas topper. With each I still had dust and water get in.

In fact, all the hardware on the canvas shell was corroded from salt spray from the winter roads here in NY. I couldn't see the road through the bed and yet it couldn't keep **** out of the bed.

If I really need something to stay dry it goes in the cab, or in a plastic tote in the bed.

If the cab is full of people , where do you put it ?
I'm talking about a trip with 4 adults and luggage for a 3 day trip to Branson, MIssouri. Each person has a small amount of luggage.
