I noticed it says that too but when I selected the fx4 package the rear end selection was still 3.31. I guess I'll just go with the 3.55. Thanks for all the input.

I noticed that too, but it drops the price of the 3.55 to $50. I wonder if you order it if they automatically bump you to the 3.55 for $50 even though it says it comes with the package.

I have a 5.0L FX4 with 3.55 and my window sticker shows the $50 charge for 3.55 gears; even though they supposedly come with FX4. Weird.

I have the 5.0 with the 3.31's. The truck has plenty of power and averages right around 18.5mpg (only 800 miles on it so far). It's also a SCREW 4wd.

It's an error on Build and Price. FX4 with the 2.7 includes the 3.55 and not with the 5.0L.

If you look @ the order guide (not the build a truck thing on the web site), you'll notice that some things say "included" while others say "required". There is a difference.

In the US, the 3.55 locker is "included" with the FX4 package when you're getting the 5.0, but you CAN downgrade to the 3.31 if you choose. The 3.55 is not "required".

My original order was a Lariat with the 5.0, FX4 and 3.31 locker. When I changed my mind (and my order) to the Platinum 5.0 and FX4, I had already decided that I wanted the 3.55 locker. While I do a LOT of highway driving, I still want to tow things once in a while. The MPG tradeoff of a 3.31 vs. 3.55 is not much, but I would expect to see more of a problem while towing anything of substance with a 3.31.

I've got the 3.31 with the 5.0. I do tow a lot and hope it's not a problem. I assumed since the motor came upgraded this year with 25 more hp and the truck is approx 700 lbs lighter, that I would not have a problem towing 3-4,000 lb trailers. Hope I'm right!

The bigger number, the better. Way over simplified but that's just my 2 cents worth.

I test drove a '15 Fx4 today with 5.0, 3:31 gears. So it must not be standard 3:55, this was not a custom ordered truck, just dealer stock. Who knows....

It drove very well. I drove a '14 5.0 as well and the '15 felt much stronger to the butt dyno. I would compare the '15 to my '14 EcoB. I would not compare the '14 5.0 favorably to the EcoB.

I am seriously considering trading my EcoB for the 5.0, or a 5.3 GMC. 6.2 If I can find one....
