Default Onboard Air and Semi Truck Air Horn Install

Viair OBA with Hadley horn and solenoid. Viair 380C compressor, 1 gallon tank, pressure regulator & Hadley 640R semi truck horn. System is wired using one relay. The relay controls the ground wire to the compressor and horn solenoid. The relay is triggered by the ignition wire. The horn will not honk if vehicle is off. The compressor will not run if vehicle is off. The compressor is quiet. It fills the tank form 0 to 150psi in 1 &1/2 minutes. I recommend the viair isolators since even with those, I can feel the step vibrate a bit.

Parts

I used these to fit into the frames holes and moint the compressor

Frame rail with wall mounts installed

Air compressor on inside of frame

air line to bed

Air line into the bed

Air inlet in bed

Air tank location

Air tank mount using 6" L bracket

Tank and regulator

Hadley solenoid

Horn wire

Only Jerks install Train & Semi Horns in their vehicles...You/They think it's cute/funny to showoff & scare people. You don't need that many decimals to get someones attention.

Boo hoo!
It's not a train horn. It's small semi-type horn and it's not that big or too loud. It's apparent that you have lots of opinions based on your own closed minded assumptions. It's how your post count is so high. You're the typical forum troll. You got your "I'm making a statement" profile pic. No one cares.

Gee, I'll be installing one to use as a component of an emergency warning package to respond to fire and medical calls. Every piece of apparatus we have has air horns. I guess I'm a jerk.

And you would be amazed at the number of people who still fail to yield for a 50,000lb. fire engine with dual airhorns, a mechanical Q2B siren, dual electronic sirens, and a myriad of emergency lighting.

By the way, the word is "decibel". Decimal is a system of numeric notation, or the fraction of a number less than one to the right of the decimal point. Decibel is a measure of loudness.
