I know it is all relative based on what you are use to..
but when compared to my '15 Coyote 3.73, this new one will blow its doors apart.
Im still breaking her in, driving moderately, varying speed and slipping a few aggressive starts in there...
This morning, temperatures was 3degC, nice for the turbos
a Dodge ram pulled up beside me at a red light and kept inching forward, wanting to try something. So I decided to try a little bit, put her in to 4A and Sport mode....not expecting to really drag race, when the light turned green, I squeezed the throttle to 50% and it launched like a mad animal on roids, rpm shifting at 5000rpms each time, I was at 100km/h in a few... I was totally shocked (you know that feeling)
On a side note, I have owned Turbos before, and I know you will get a much faster engine response by rolling on the throttle instead of mashing it. This might be the case....
I thought I share... an amazing powertrain Ford, great job!

Yup, know the feeling! Mine has the 3.55 gears so not quite as quick off the mark, but holy crap, it sure goes! I had the same experience with some ricer pulling up beside me at a red light hoping to beat me through the intersection to the point where the two lanes merged into one. Uh-uh, didn't happen!

I too have the 3.31's....and really don't think the gap between 3.31 and 3.73 is what it was with the 6sp transmissions. With all traction control off and 4hi engaged, sport mode, this thing hauls out off the line.

I've said this before on previous posts... I test drove both the 3.31 and 3.55..
With the 10 speed I felt the 3.31 was faster to 60mph. It kept the torque in the meat of the curve slightly longer vs the 3.55...
The 10 speed negates much difference between rear end ratios... With the 6 speed you should choose more wisely
Get the lower gearing Only if you will tow very heavy or plan to upsize tire Dia. Otherwise its plenty fast.... For a truck
