Haven't plenty of 2nd gen Ecoboost screws been run against 5.0s? If so, there's your answer. The standard cab doesn't somehow magically add power under the curve for the 5.0.

I think the 10 speed transmission will be a game changer Have not seen a new 5.0 race against a new 3.5

All I can say, is my '12 5.0,3:55 SCab, was a slug compared to my '17 3.5, 3:55 SCab. Stock/stock, that is.
5.0 sounded better, more room under the hood, and had a whole lot sexier name than Egoboost.
But, can't wait to get my tunes in, and liking the 22mpg compared to 17.5/18 on gas with the 5.0.
And really, I haven't even nailed it yet at less than 1k miles.

So Maurice Cooper has run the fastest times with his stock trucks, how interesting. The Ecoboost hitting 99mph and the 5.0 hitting 103 miles per hour? Why can no one else in the exact same trucks run those times? My stock Ecoboost traps 94mph, how are you magically achieving 5mph faster in yours?

My 2017 screw 6.5’ box 3.5 also traps at 94mph same as my buddies truck but his is a short box. Think I’m seeing a pattern here....

Most all of you have 4x4, his trucks are all 2wd.
