OK, the acorns won...

Guess I'll stop parking in the driveway for a few more weeks...

Found half a dozen dings in my hood at lunch today just as I was thinking I would escape this season unscathed. My own fault. I knew they were falling and hitting the truck but didn't notice any dings until today (and in 4 years, my 2011 had no dings in the hood from acorns).

Sorry no pics, just had to vent a little...

FWIW, in 15 years, I've never seen this many acorns from my trees.

Nature will always win :)

Wow, sorry to hear. Must be a tall tree? I have noticed my trees have a heavy crop of acorns as well. I guess with the aluminum body it is much more susceptible to anything acorns, hail, pine cones, etc.

In my area, a heavy acorn crop means fat and tasty deer. Always look for the silver lining!

Geez...I didn't think a little acorn was capable but I guess if it's up a ways, physics turns against you.

That sucks, sorry to hear it! I will stay away from trees with acorns now that I heard this.

Think I better stay away from the black walnut trees..

I believe F-150s have had aluminum hoods since 2008.

At least since the 2004 body redesign. My 05 aluminum hood had to be replaced because of hail damage.

The struggle is real..... mine isn't with acorns but sap in the summer and branches in the stormy season....
