Default Oil leak.

So my truck went into the shop today. 2015 xlt 2.7. 37000 miles and exactly an year old.

Went in to change the oil on this truck the other night. My first time atempting an oil change on it. I observed oil dripping from the pan. Seems like the point of the lea was at the oil pan gasket.

Just a warning to everyone out there. Make sure you get under the truck yourself every once on a while. It will save a lot of heart ache later on.

I would have never known about the leak if i didnr get under there myself. I park on the grass so theres little chance i would see it on the ground.

Dealer was swamped so the left me witha brand new 2017 escape se as a loaner. This suv is underwhelming to say the least. I liksd the old escapes but this one feels like a focus with a slightly different body on it.
Sucks not boeng able to plug in my phone charger to a 110 outlet and have it fast charge.

2.7L GTDI LEAKS ENGINE OIL – BUILT ON OR BEFORE 7/1/2015

FORD: 2015 Edge, F-150

ISSUE:
Some 2015 F-150 and Edge vehicles equipped with a 2.7L gasoline turbocharged direct injected (GTDI) engine and built on or before 7/1/2015 may exhibit an engine oil leak. This may be due to the engine oil pressure (EOP) sensor threads leaking.

ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.Inspect the EOP sensor. Does the EOP sensor exhibit an oil leak at the sensor threads?
a.Yes - proceed to Step 2.
b.No - this article does not apply. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-00.
2.Remove and reseal the EOP sensor, refer to WSM, Section 303-14. Clean the area as necessary.
3.Check the oil level. Refer to WSM, Section 303-01.
