It is the shorter version of the two beds available in the reg cab.

Thus it is the RC Short Bed.

I don’t remember but if you go to the Ford website and build a regular cab does it default to the short or long bed? I’d check but I’m too busy doing other things at the moment in addition to answering emails!!

The nomenclature RCSB is just something we use here. Kinda like SCREW or SCAB.

Nothing official.

I think Ford refers to the 5.5 bed as “mini” on the frame label.

Pecked out on my iPhone between Pop-Ups.

As I like it, R-egular C-ab S-hortest B-ed available. Only so many combinations tween 2 fame lengths, 3 cabs, and 3 bed lengths. KM

Oddly the Chevy crowd seems to call them a Standard Cab. I think the short bed came from the old days when there were only two bed sizes. 6' & 8'. The 5-1/2" didn't exist until the Crew Cabs became so popular. I've also heard it call Regular Cab Short Box, same acronym.

If I win the Lottery I think I would have Ford build me a F450 RCLB dually. I think these look Bad ***!

Mike

I always called them regular or single cabs, never heard standard cab.

Regular cab dully with a manual trans would be cool.
