Just The Basic Facts

What's up fella's, I am one step closer to getting into a new truck and looking for some info. I created a new post in the 2015 section but wanted to get some exposure in this thread as it is specific to my configuration.
I will be ordering a truck soon and wondering if it is necessary to get the lowest gear ratio available. My configuration will be a regular cab, short bed, 4x4. Truck will be a daily driver, will put about 25,000 miles a year on the road. Will upsize the tires a little to 285/70-17, will be towing a small boat around 2000 pound total package. A little off-road action when hunting or fishing but nothing crazy.
Whatever rear axle I get I will spec the electronic locker, just not sure on what ratio I should get. Most of the trucks that are inventory have the 3.55 rear. The regular cab, short bed in XLT is a rare find on a lot and I am getting better pricing on an ordered truck than if it were inventory.

Dang, that's quite the coincidence. I'm considering putting a Better Built SEC in my black RCSB, was just waiting on somebody to chime in with personal experience. How do you like it? Is it the 69" low profile?

Just FYI. Our local Beterbuilt dealer offers crossover tool boxes with insulated lids.
I wish i had had known that before I purchased mine. My black box gets stinkin hot here in the sun belt.
Just puttin it it out there.
Pecked out on my iPhone.

I have 5100's and 33's at 30 psi on my 2019 rcsb 4x4 sport and I feel like my truck suspension is almost non existent. If I drive over a pot hole it feels dangerous and I feel every crack in the road. Do I need to just load the bed up for a few days and let the suspension break in? Anyone else notice the ride is pretty jarring?
