I ordered a 501 Lariat. Took about two weeks of back and forth with two dealers to get the right numbers before I ordered. I compromised with my wife on getting a 501, I mostly wanted the LED headlights so instead I'll get the halogen SE housings and LED bulbs whenever DD releases them.

The 360-degree camera was the big thing that pushed me to 502A, and the cooled seats are a very nice touch.

Finally got her! Long wait, but she's nice. The 10 speed is definitely a little different feeling than the 6 was, but I'm very satisfied so far. Beautiful truck. Now to get my Ford pass app to get past activation pending.

Thank you to everyone here who has answered questions along the way. Now I'll be ordering some things for it. This site is the death of my wallet.

I thought that was the tech package. And here I thought I understood everything about this truck.

You're half right. It is part of the Tech Package. The Tech Package on a Lariat requires 502A.

I should also have said the LED headlights were important to me. Having doing a lot of night driving on a recent long trip, I'm doubly glad I have them instead of halogens.

I'll just suck it up and throw more down, order will go in tomorrow morning. I was already throwing 10K at it on top of A-plan. These things are too damn expensive and I refuse to have a large payment.


Now i I just need to decide if I stay with race red or break tradition.

My order originally should have been here mid-May, just based on an 8-week time frame. COTUS originally said April 30th. Then (as I checked daily) it was April 25th, then 24th, and last week it was the 23rd. Back to the 24th. This morning I pulled it up and showed it was DELIVERED. I had quite the cargasm. I'm off this week for spring break so I went down and looked it over. 'Nother cargasm. This afternoon I went back and test drove. 'Nother cargasm. Gonna bring it home this weekend.

Anyone else throwing in on the final day for 2017 orders?

I got tired of dealers trying to jerk A-plan around and got busy with both my jobs and never finalized my order. At this point I'll probably seriously consider the 2018, but love the look of the 17's too if a good deal came around. In a 1000 mile radius and a 9 month time period only 1 truck ordered the way I would spec ever hit a dealer lot and it unfortunately was shadow black.

Seems dealers don't like to order race red or max tow on Lariats for stock units

I don't know about Race Red but I've seen a fair number of Lariats in/near central Texas with Max Tow. It's the tow mirrors I found to be very scarce on high-trim Lariats, the only ones I found were LWB so I ordered mine "just so."
