Not Ford's fault, unless you count making a truck look so bad *** it inspired jealousy, but after five days of owning my XLT someone keyed my truck while I was parked at work.
I work on an enclosed federal facility with residential and domiciliary patients, so I'm guessing it was someone who lives there, but the VA police is saying because there is no suspect I can't make a claim against the federal government to reimburse me to fix the scratches... which I totally intend to fight. I don't care if its only small scratches or not expensive to repair, it was a brand new vehicle less than a week old that someone vandalized while I was working with patients.

^^^That sucks. And government properties are required to have cameras nowadays. I would go to the office and request a copy of the parking area for the time you were there.

Yeah -- about that, our facility mandates employees not park in residential or out patient parking, which means our spaces are on the outskirts of the facility, without cameras pointing at them. There's a couple of federal laws (military personnel and civilian employees’ claim act of 1964, among others) that I've found outlying the ways to get reimbursed for damaged property, which I don't think the officer that filed my report and said there was nothing that can be done is too familiar with, so I'm going to HR tomorrow after getting the requisite two separate paint repair estimations.

I've been tied up with other stuff and havnt had a chance to take it yet. They are fixing the pass door (driver is fine), air leak in sun roof & going to look at the rear arm rest not totally fitting (although mine is better than most on here). Field Engineer is doing all work on mine because Ford corporate wants a report on exactly what was wrong.

I will gladly take a picture for you.. Also my 2011 truck was manufactured at the KC plant not sure if that makes a difference. Guess my Unicorn is a limited edition

Pictures not necessary. I've heard a few others say their was painted as well. But they are nonexistent in my area.

Any news on the door gap issue? my local dealer which has been great to me has not heard back from there regional rep/Ford on a resolution to fix this problem. therefore he is letting me order another truck and by then hopefully the doors are fixed properly when this one comes in 3 months. The truck looked flawless otherwise and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Bought the truck December 18th. I'm still owed a spray-in bed liner. I don't know if they're trying to coordinate all these things so I only have to make one trip or what. It's whatever. I'll probably end up trading it in on a 2x4 King Ranch. Kicking myself for taking the 4x4 Lariat. Beautiful truck but I wanted the KR from the get-go and I was too impatient. Live and learn.
