Do you have picture of your wheels, if so can you post them please?
I want to compare them to mine.

Just wanted to let everyone know. Rachel with Ford Service was able to get me in touch with the correct person at Ford Service and we got everything sorted out. Four new wheels later, we are good to go. Cost was split up between myself, my dealer and Ford with Ford carrying most of the burden. I wasn't looking for a free replacement. The wheels' finish should have lasted much better, but ideally I would have caught it and brought it to their attention before the 36k warranty expired.

Was this problem corrected by ford? If not, whose to say the problem won't reoccur within the next 7-10k miles?

Hopefully with all these warranty replacements they make a change somewhere.

That’s great, dhmcfadin. I’m glad to see your faith in Ford is increasing.

After reaching out to a representative on the forum my claim was again rejected. Basically the claim was that a cleaning detergent was used that was too harsh for the wheels. I'm extremely frustrated by this and am pretty turned off of Ford now. It amazes me that a company won't back up their product on something like this where there are clearly quality issues. I had been looking getting my wife an Explorer in the next year or so but I may be looking at other options now.
Hey kvarilek,

I just sent you a PM; please check it out when you get a chance. I definitely understand your frustration.

Hopefully it will go smoothly, vandeboy. Keep me posted; I’m here if you need me!

Are your wheels peeling, 2quik? Let me know the year and mileage on your truck; I’ll see how I can assist.

It was my pleasure, cadamwil. I’m so happy this was sorted out!

This is the main question that needs to be answered in the thread. Otherwise, all owners of these wheels and their replacements will be stuck in an endless loop of peeling wheels...

Congratulations, glad it worked out for you. As others are saying, I really hope the new ones last like they are supposed to.

It would be gratefully appreciated if people would post pics of what their wheels looked like when they took them into the dealer.

thanks

Good luck, they replaced mine when I had the peeling. How many miles on your truck btw?

No go, Ford denied my warranty claim stating that acidic chemicals were used to clean the wheels. I just e-mailed my dealer a picture the Eagle One cleaner I use which specifically states it is for PVD wheels. They are going to file an appeal with those pictures and a statement from me.

Truck has 24,000 miles on it and is a 2015. Still within factory warranty.

Here is a picture of one of the many areas my wheels are peeling.
