OEM Goodyear Wrangler Fortitudes - 275/65R18 - any reviews???
Anyone with 18" Wrangler Fortitude have any appreciable miles and care to give feedback on them? Especially in snow conditions.
Without going to FX4 (which I believe gets LT rated Wrangler All-Terrain Adventures in the same size), these are the tires you get on Sport pkg 4x4's w/ 18" wheels. I'm extremely leary about them, considering how ****ty the predecessor Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's were on my 2011.
My 2015 will probably arrive mid March and I want to be ready with different tires as soon as it shows up, if the Fortitudes are truly as crappy as I expect them to be.
How Ford could label an All-Season tire as A/T in their order guide and online build site, is beyond me.

Good question. I have these on my XLT. we've had plenty of snow and they're ok. Not an AT tire though. IMHO this is my 5th f150 since 1997 and none of them have had a decent tire from the factory. No matter what the package, I've had XLT, Lariet, FX4 it didn't matter. You are basically left to replace immediately or deal with it and get decent tires later on.
I'm sure it's a cost savings measure. Let's face it most people really have no need for an AT tire.
Jeff.

I just picked up my new 2015 last week which is the FX4 and the appearance sport package with the goodyears on it. My dealer allowed me a $500 credit for the take offs which I put towards a nice set of Hankook's. There's a $50 mail in rebate on those now as well so in the end it was probably about $125 for the far better tires.

FX4 doesn't come with these (Fortitudes). Comes with AT Adventures.

I'm interested in this as well. Tirerack only has 3 reviews for this particular OE tire.
I work at Bridgestone as a tire development engineer and can swap out these tires for any Bridgestone/Firestone tire for free within the first 500 miles. Seeing as I have 280 miles on the truck so far, I need to make a decision. Unfortunately, the truck had 160 miles on it when I purchased it and I had to drive about 110 miles to the dealer to get it.
Since what I do for a living is design tires for OE fitments, I know that almost all OE fitments are unique for that vehicle and that putting a trade tire (any tire that you get after OE) on could sacrifice performance. But then again, I know Bridgestone/Firestone makes good tires and the limited reviews I've seen for this GY Wrangler Fortitude haven't been all that awesome.
If I did swap them out. I'd either get FS Destination LE2 or BS Dueler H/L Alenza Plus.

These seem better than the SRA's that came with my '12 FX4, but not by a big margin.
As soon as I got the new truck, I missed the Michelin LTX-AT2's that I had on the '12 when I traded it in. I'm guessing the Fortitude might last longer than the SRA's did (40k) by looking at the tread.
The Michelins had 45k on them with probably another 15k left and that tire handled everything very well.

I have these tire on my Lariat FX4 Sport. I've only had the truck since April so we haven't had any snow to speak of. I haven't been off road either so my opinion is kinda boring. They seem fine to me for day to day driving. I have no complaints. I had oem Bridgestone Dueller AT tires on my old Silverado and they sure "looked" a lot cooler than these Goodyears but I don't notice a performance difference. I'll be curious to see how they perform this winter though.

Any updates on these tires? I just bought a new XL that came with a nice set of 17" Michelin LTX M/S's on them. Great tires but I'd like something bigger. I found a great set of new 18" takeoffs with the Goodyear Fortitudes on them. Where I live in Texas it snows once every three years here if that so I only care about it being good in occasional rain and fairly quiet.
Thx!
