Fortitudes wear like iron. Traction in snow/wetness is not up to Michelin LTX level.

Just got rid of mine at 66,000.

Could have easily done another 20,000 until wear bars flat with tread.

If I was on budget, I would only buy and use "takeoff" Fortitudes. Tons of them out there for sale.

Thanks BadAltitude. Do you have any experience with the Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on snow? I have a less than one year old set I could put on my 17 screw. Or I keep the practically new Fortitudes on there. Driving to Steamboat CO next month. Once I get there, won't be much driving if any. I love my G2's but these NEW FOrtitudes are very quiet like you say. THey also stick really well in the wet. In 2H and traction control OFF they let me accelerate really well without breaking free. I also have a 17 screw and agree, they are a little squirmy in curves. G2's way better feel on that front.

My truck is at 33,000 easy miles on Fortitudes and I will be lucky to get another 5,000 out of them. Most of my driving is highway. I do live in the mountains so there are a lot of twists and turns. I check the tire pressures regularly. 66,000 is incredible. No way I could ever get that kind of mileage out of mine. And I am driving a 2017 XL regular cab (the lightest F-150)

We have had quite a bit of snow this winter and I have a little over 10,000 miles on the fortitudes. They are better in the snow than I would have guessed. I would guess their weak point would be not so great in the mud.

My truck is 2015 with original Goodyear Wranglers Fortitudes, but 17" tires. Live in Muskegon county, Michigan in snow belt. Average just short of 100" of snow a year. So snow here is just not a temporary event - here almost all winter. Drive to boat launches to ice fish which are not plowed. Pull off side of road to park where no boat launch to get to lake to fish. When I park in snow 8" + I always pull forward, then back up in my tracks and then park. Place truck in 4 wheel drive with electronic locking on and never a problem getting out. Other than ice fishing gear in bed I carry no extra weight for traction - that is why I have 4 wheel drive/ electronic locking axle. Slow and easy, and no issue. These tires do not look great, but do the job for me. And, they are great summer tires for high mileage. Will replace with same tires when time comes.

Maybe somebody will find this interesting, So I switched out my tires mentioned above and put the G2's on the F150 and the Fortitudes on the Sierra that is for sale. I think it was a good swap it suits both trucks. All tires less than a year old. The Sierra is a z71 4x4 which is a little stiffer suspension than the F150 NON FX4 but still 4x4 imo. I find the G2's being a little stiffer helps firm up a little squiminess the Fortitudes had, while conversely the Sierra now is a little more comfortable with the Fortitudes than the G2s. Just my experience.

My Fortitudes have 20,000 miles, and since new and the year+ I have been unhappy with the wet weather performance (which is 9 months here). When starting off on a hill when the light turns green I have to be really gentle on the gas or they will spin. Just this morning I got the first opportunity for a real test. After a week of snow, not being plowed, I had to go a few blocks with 10" of slush that froze overnight. In 4WD and 1st gear it was fishtailing all over the road but tracked straight enough to avoid the ditches or hit parked cars, and I made it through. I have had OEM Goodyears on several other trucks and SUVs and always try to get through the first two winters and then replace with good tires like Firestone Destination TA or Cooper Discoverer AT3. Hopefully this will be our last bad snow and I can now make it to September.
