OEM Goodyear Wrangler Fortitudes - 275/65R18 - any reviews???

so heres been my experience, i had the 20" fx4 wheels with hankook tires, my truck rode awful with them. Tires had no traction what so ever and the ride was harsh over any bump. I put my 18" back on with the goodyears and the ride was so much smoother and had better traction all around. Just my experience though other peoples scenarios differ

Good highway tire and decent on gravel and hard pack. Does hold rocks like crazy in the treads though.

I have 47k miles on them now and should have close to 60k by year end. They just might last that long by the way the tread looks now, but no way theyll make it through the next winter.
Been a great highway tire - quiet and good ride, decent in rain, ok in snow the past 2 winters (under 35k miles then).
Still have the same opinion about them - much better than the SRA's that came on my '12 but no where near the tire that the Michelin LTX AT2's were that I also had on the '12

Have driven my '15 with the standard 17" Wrangler Fortitudes for the past 2 winters year around. That includes two long trips to northern Canada to fish each year. Live in snow belt right off the Lake Michigan shore just south of Muskegon, Mi. We average around 90" of snow - last year was below average at 55". I ice fish 2-3 ties a week, which means driving to boat launches many times which are never plowed all winter, or side roads beside small isolated lakes. No problems with these tires in snow. Very little noise on highway which is important to me VS some tires you can hear 1/4 mile away. Most days in the winter, even with snow on road, I do not have to use 4 X 4 . Have found the electronic locking rear axle is great (3:55 axle), and many times use this more than the 4 X 4. Just need to take it easy when you first start moving or you will just dig a snow hole. I will purchase these tires again.

I purposely ordered my truck with the LT's as the Fortitudes won't perform well in the snow. I then found a set of take-off 20's with less than 50 miles on them for $1400. I'll run the 20's in the summer and the 18's in the winter.

Old post but helpful since I just bought a 17 CPO with new Fortitudes on it. I've driven in the rain and they stick like glue (possibly because they are new vs half worn out) The positive snow reviews is encouraging also. Still, I'm in a bit of a dilemma because I'm driving to Colorado next month, and on my old truck which is for sale, I have one year old Nitto Terra G2s in the exact same size. Hmmm... should I trade out the tires on the trucks???
