OEM or aftermarket windshield?

OEM or aftermarket windshield?
Need to replace my windshield and was wondering whether I should go OEM or aftermarket. My local dealer said they don't do OEM replacements and instead use a third-party. I imagine the larger dealer around 30 miles away has OEM windshields in stock.
Which route did y'all go if you've had a replacement?

You don't have to go to the dealer to get OEM glass, most glass installers can get OEM.

In my experience having replace 5 over the years, the after markets seem to not crack as easily on stone chips as do the ford OEM ones. Ive had my truck 1.5 months and its already cracked, same as my last one at about 2 months. I put aftermarket in last on and it took rock hits I would have swore cracked it and it did not.

Doesn't anyone carry insurance coverage for glass? I have a $50 deductible.

If someone sells insurance for a $300-500 windshield, then they have to charge enough to make money on it. Meaning most people paying could not be getting their moneys worth otherwise the insurance companies would lose money on it.
Exact same thing for cell phone insurance. Normally after a 2-3 years you've paid for about half of a phone already, and phones go way down in price fast so you may be able to buy one for that amount then. Unless you break your phone every single time I would never recommend buying insurance for such a cheap device.
20k+ vehicle sure, 100k+ house sure, but a $400 windshield?
